What Should I Wear?
You may be wondering, “What do zombies wear?!?” So here are a few tips to maximize your Zombie fashion skills.
For Rehearsals: Wear clothing that you would wear to work out — loose, comfortable, clothing that allows you to be active. And BRING WATER. The class goes by really quickly and it’s lots of fun, but you do work up a sweat.
For the Parade: COSTUME TIME! We’re all dressing up as zombies – so try to look as dead and decaying as possible. There are many resources online that can help you figure out how to dress Zombie. A good rule of thumb is to remember that zombies were once people who were buried with all the pomp and circumstance that anyone would be buried. Which means they are most likely in their good dress or good suit, but the longer they have been in the ground the more decayed those clothes are. Or, you could be a newly deceased zombie (i.e., you got out of bed this morning and brushed your hair and got your clothes on, then a zombie ate you when you left the house and now you look like hell). So when you’re putting together you costume, consider these ideas: How did you die? Axe? Hanging? How long have you been dead? Why are you a zombie? Were you bitten, created in a voo doo ritual?
I leave it to you to figure out what you’re willing to do. Makeup will probably be necessary.
The most important thing is TO HAVE FUN! So as long as you’re joining us at the parade we’re happy! If you have any questions feel free to contact me – the Zombie Wrangler – at portsmouththriller [at] gmail [dot] com
See you there!
