ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTORS
Cathleen Delaney has always loved to dance! She started out with tap, jazz and ballet in the early years, and from there took to ballet with a fierce passion. The majority of her classical ballet training took place with the Robertson’s School in which she danced in various Seacoast Ballet Company’s productions of The Nutcracker, Giselle, Swan Lake, and Midsummer Night’s Dream, among others. She then continued her dancing experiences with competitive colorguard and winterguard teams in high school, as well as musical theater and dance in college. Today, you will find her taking Street Funk classes at Portsmouth School of Ballet, which is where she met co-teacher of “Thriller”, Stacie Paradis.
In Cathleen’s professional life, she most recently acquired her Masters in Elementary Education and has been working in various classrooms within the Seacoast area as a teacher and reading tutor. Previous to that, she worked at The Timberland Company as an Apparel Assistant Planner.
In her personal life, Cathleen loves to remain physically and socially active, as well as spending time with her sweethearts, Brian, and kitty cat, Jasmine. Reading a good book and listening to music also brings her joy. Life is an incredible journey and living life to the fullest is her mantra.
